The oneROOF Youth Services Life Line Department is responsible for daily programming, drop-in and essential services.

Our drop-in services welcome youth, age 12 - 25 years old. Services include, but are not limited to:

  • Daily programming: life skills training, recreation and special events, substance abuse and prevention support, therapeutic art sessions, guest speakers/groups from community service agencies, etc.

  • Essential needs: meals, laundry, showers, storage lockers, etc. As well as access to hygiene products, food hampers, clothing donations, computer lab, and more.

  • One-on-one meetings with staff for the purpose of support, problem solving, goal setting and referrals.


 
 

General Daily Schedule:

Lunch: 12:00pm – 1:30pm | Dinner: 6:00pm - 7:00pm

Programming/Drop-In: 8:30am - 8:45pm

Providing A Roof (PAR) Shelter: 9:15pm - 8:15am

Food Hamper Pick-up: Thursdays 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Happening At…

    • Essential Care Access: meals, laundry, showers, storage lockers, hygiene products, clothing donations, phone access, COVID-19 screening, etc

    • Counsel: One-on-one support with staff for the purpose of support planning--including: housing support, employment and educational support, family reconnect support, social support, problem solving, goal setting and community service referrals.

    • Computer Lab: educational, employment and housing search purposes.

    • Emergency Food Hamper: Kitchen and hamper pick-up location.

    • Healthcare Services: Registered Nurse Practitioner from Kitchener Downtown Community Health Centre--date/time to be determined.

    • Administrative space and youth meeting rooms.

    • Administrative space, meeting rooms, and department offices.

    • Providing A Roof (PAR) Shelter: 18 bed, co-ed, emergency shelter; open 9:15pm - 8:30am.
