Walk Wednesday: Youth Week Walkathon
Register your class, school, business, church, family, or friend group to walk together and work together to raise funds for oneROOF Youth Services. Walks can done anywhere, anytime on Wednesday, May 6th 2026.
All funds raised go directly to oneROOF Youth Services. Donations are greatly appreciated. Register your team here.

Visit the St. Jacobs Farmers' Market, one of Canada’s largest and most popular year-round farmers’ markets, known for its local vendors, fresh goods, and vibrant community atmosphere. While you’re there, check out the booth of long time supporter, LivLush!
We’re excited to partner with LivLush, a growing local wellness and lifestyle brand with a strong online following, for a special giveback day. LivLush will be donating 15% of all sales from the market to support our programs for youth.

All week long, the youth we serve can choose to participate in specialty programming, hosted by oneROOF Youth Services.
Regular programming will still be available via our LifeLine (Drop-in/Essential Services) department. This additional programming is meant to provide further opportunities for youth to connect with each other, as well as with their community. These events are private; for youth accessing oneROOF Youth Services only.

Celebrate Spring, Ice Cream Counter
Start Youth Week with a sweet treat. Youth can get creative and build the perfect sundae with all the fixings to celebrate warm weather of spring.
Classic Board Games
Volunteer hosted fun involving classic board games such as Trouble, Uno, Connect 4 and Chess.

Sports Challenge with BBQ Lunch
Outside Fun. Youth get to show off their basketball, volleyball and football skills with various challenges.
Vision Board
Youth can create a collage of images, quotes, and affirmations to focus their goals and desires for their future.
Taco Dinner
A youth social meal with all the toppings, thanks to our in-house chef.

A volunteer lead event giving a chance for youth to discuss what they have been reading and get something new to read.

Beauty & Self-Care
Youth can have fun by learning sharing and trying new beauty skills.
Art, Crafts & Snacks
Volunteer lead art workshop where youth can create designs and artwork in a relaxed setting and discuss their art with other youth and what each piece means to them.

Field Trip: Youth Rock Climbing
oneROOF Youth Services, Grand River Rocks, and Elliott Coach Lines are proud to offer our youth a rock climbing experience this Youth Week.
Thanks to a generous donation from Grand River Rocks, 10 climbing passes are available, including equipment and orientation. With help from Elliott Coach Lines, we will be transporting youth and staff for a 1pm-3pm climb.
Youth interested in participating should be in touch with Alan or Jared.

Walk Wednesday
Youth and staff will join in the Walk Wednesday fundraiser with a oneROOF team of staff and youth walking in our local neighbourhood.
Italian Dinner
A youth social pasta meal with all the extras, thanks to our in-house chef.

Next Steps Housing staff will be hosting a relaxed get together for all youth to enjoy coffee, snacks and conversation together.
Block Buster Movie Night
Youth can enjoy an evening with a blockbuster action movie and popcorn

Field Trip: The Food Bank of Waterloo Region
Youth and staff will be visiting community partner, The Food Bank of Waterloo Region to tour their facility and put our able hands to work! The Food Bank of Waterloo Region welcomes corporate and community groups of all sizes to volunteer at our distribution centre and events. Learn more here.
